Oyumaru (resinous molding material) (AF0047)
This is a thermoplastic moulding compound intended to form impressions of other items once heated (e.g., in hot water) and pressed onto or into the item. Once cool, the blank would form as a die for your actual moulding medium such as metal clay, polymer clay or other setting media (e.g., wax, epoxy, polyurethane). Oyumaru can be reused by heating it again and repeating the process.
Each pack contain 7 pieces, each piece being roughly 7mm x 15mm x 58mm, and 5.5g, for a total of less than 40g. Each piece is a different colour, and have a similar stiffness to a plastic eraser, which means that the material will flex when demoulding your items.
Directions:
Method 1: Drop Oyumaru in a cup of hot water. Remove after a couple of minutes and knead quickly with your fingers before using to mold your favourite object.
Method 2: Place on metal gauze and heat Oyumaru gently with a hair dryer. Remove after a couple of minutes and knead quickly with your fingers before using to mold your favourite object.
