Activated Carbon Coconut Shell Based – 200g (A703205b)

Use this activated carbon to embed Art Clay Bronze and Art Clay Copper pieces for firing. Coconut shell-based carbon produces a light patina colour on your pieces. To prepare the carbon for use, place it inside the firing pan, cover with the lid and fire for 30 minutes at 843°C (1550°F). For a richer, more colourful patina, try the coal-based acid-washed activated carbon. Art Clay Copper and Art Clay Bronze must be completely surrounded by activated carbon during the firing process. The carbon can be used for at least 12 firings. Weight is 250 grams and ships in a bottle with spout. Please snip the bottle spout to pour carbon.
